From the moment you step onto Koh Phi Phi you are instantly surrounded by British & Australian travelers basking in the sun, sand and Chang that makes the very existence of this island.
Koh Phi Phi is one of the smaller islands in Thailand and is accessible via boat only from both Phuket and Krabi. The views of the island are no less than idyllic, picture perfect scenery is one of the many reasons travelers flock to this island, the other is without a doubt, the alcohol.
Being such a small island makes getting around quite easy, handy when it’s 5am and you’re trying to navigate your way back to your hotel after a heavy night out. But it’s not all that the island has to offer. He’s my list of favorite things to do whilst staying on Phi Phi.
1. Without a doubt, number one has to be Maya Beach. Take a boat trip out to the island where The Beach was filmed and sunbath on the white sands of Phi Phi Ley.
2. Monkey Island. Can be incorporated in your half day trip to Phi Phi Ley, Monkey Island is exactly what it says on the tin, feed the monkeys and get a photograph with the wild animals that habitat here.
3. Slinky’s Bar, although I said it’s not all about the booze, it can be somewhat. Enjoy a bucket or two in the bars of Phi Phi then dance the night away at Slinky’s beach bar which is open until the early hours. You’ll see fire shows, totem poles and bucking broncos in this crazy club.
4. Diving, one thing I didn’t do on this island but really wish I did, let the pros take you to see some of the beautiful underwater caves the line Phi Phi.
5. View Point, take a walk up to Phi Phi’s view point and revel in the beauty of the island, a picture perfect point!
Whatever you decide to do here I guarantee you will fall in love with this beautiful island.
